FOR FAMILIES
For families Seminyak (and nearby Kuta and Legian) is the place for water parks, paintball, sports and surfing/boogie boarding or catching a film at the cinema, and also for useful services like child-care, indoor play areas.
The downside of all this popularity of course is traffic and crowds and noise, which can make the centre of Seminyak busy during the summer and Xmas/New Year seasons.
On the plus side Orchard House is really centrally located in a quiet back street, and is just yards from many great bars and restaurants. Istana Semer and Villa Reina are just North of Seminyak in a more laid back area called Umalas/Semer, but are still just 10 minutes drive from the centre of Seminyak.
